How salary is taxed in Armenia in 2026

Four payments are withheld from a salary in Armenia: income tax, the social (funded pension) payment, the mandatory health-insurance contribution and the stamp duty. The employer withholds all of them — the employee receives the net amount.

Income tax is a flat 20% of gross salary. Employees of tax-privileged IT companies pay 10%.

The social payment for mandatory participants (born 1974 or later) and those who joined voluntarily before July 2018: 5% on a base up to ֏500,000 (the state adds another 5%), and 10% of the base minus ֏25,000 above it. The base is capped at ֏1,125,000 (15 minimum wages), so the payment tops out at ֏87,500. Those who joined voluntarily after July 2018 pay a flat 5%, capped at ֏56,250.

The health-insurance contribution applies from 2026: nothing up to a ֏200,000 salary, ֏4,800 between ֏200,001 and ֏500,000 (the state adds ֏6,000), and ֏10,800 from ֏500,001.

The stamp duty is ֏1,000 per month on a base up to ֏1,000,000 and ֏15,000 above.

The calculator is indicative for a standard monthly salary. Vacation pay, benefits and dismissal settlements follow different rules — ask an accountant for those cases.
